Prospect Realty Group first got involved with Ypsilanti’s Neighborhood Theater Group in 2025. We became such big fans of their “made from scratch” theater that we signed on as PRODUCER SPONSORS for their 2026 season. We are passionate about the idea that communities NEED accessible, locally-grown arts programs to truly thrive – and the City of Ypsilanti is an absolute haven for the arts!
Habitat for Humanity / Women Build
Right here in our own community we are coming together to make things a little better, a little bit at a time. Prospect Realty Group was proud to be the top fundraising team for the 2024 WOMEN BUILD Habitat for Humanity project in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Washtenaw Housing Alliance
Prospect Realty Group actively participates in the Washtenaw Housing Alliance’s LANDLORD ADVISORY COMMITTEE. We’re working to help educate landlords about the benefits of housing vouchers, while also educating housing voucher program administrators on some of the bureaucratic requirements that drive up housing costs. During September, we sponsored an event that brought County Commissioner Annie Somerville and State Senator Jeff Irwin to meet with our group and talk about ways that we can all work together toward our common goals: safe, affordable, appropriate, accessible housing for 100% of our community members.
Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority
Prospect Realty Group Broker/Owner Colleen Kennedy serves on the board of directors of the Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority (DDA) and as Secretary of its Executive Committee. The goal of the DDA is to contribute to the city’s vibrancy by fueling development and growth that benefits businesses and residents. The 12-member team, along with the Mayor of Ypsilanti, works together at the crossroads of community and government to help finance business owners’ needs alongside everyday improvements that support our city’s infrastructure and health.
